Mike Brook wins ACS Frederic Stanley Kipping Award Print E-mail
It is my very great pleasure to tell you that Mike Brook has won the 2016 American Chemical Society Frederic Stanley Kipping Award in Silicon Chemistry.  The Kipping Award recognizes distinguished contributions over the past 10 years to the field of silicon chemistry, silicon-based material sciences, or the field of organometallic chemistry as it applies to the Group 14 elements in particular.  Mike has indeed made many very strong and distributions to the field of silicon chemistry and polymer science over his career, and particularly so in the past decade.  The award will be presented at the spring ACS national meeting in San Diego this coming March.  Mike will be presenting award lectures at both the ACS National Meeting in a symposium in his honour, and at the annual Silicon Symposium next spring, the location of which has yet to be finalized.
Please join me in congratulating Mike on this distinguished award, and for the remarkable achievements by him and his research group that led to it.
