Paul Ayers Wins Rutherford Medal Print E-mail
I am delighted to inform you that Prof. Paul Ayers has been awarded the 2014 Rutherford Memorial Medal in Chemistry by the Royal Society of Canada.  The Rutherford Medals are awarded for outstanding research in physics and chemistry, and in recognition of Lord Ernest Rutherford's own research in physics, which he carried out in Canada at a young age. Two medals have been awarded each year since the award's inception in 1980, one to a chemist and one to a physicist. A list of past recipients can be found at the RSC website.

Please join me in congratulating Paul on this outstanding achievement.

Best regards,

William J. Leigh, Professor and Chair
