UCLA Professor Will Stand Trial in Fatal Fire Print E-mail

In December 2008 a research assistant, newly graduated with a degree in Chemistry the previous May, was working alone in a UCLA lab when the pyrophoric chemical she was working with splashed onto her and burst into flames.  She later died from her burns.

The professor she worked was criminally charged in connection with her death for failing to uphold safety regulations.  Please follow this link to read more
